Career: Virtus Bologna (Italy-Lega, 2001-03), Fortitudo Bologna (Italy-Lega, 2003-06).
At the tender age of 20, Marco Belinelli has already put together numbers that top those of any of Italy's greatest shooting guards at a similar age - even the likes of Antonello Riva or Carlton Myers. In the Euroleague, Belinelli was Climamio Bologna's top scorer with 14 points per game. He also finished as the 12th-best three-point shooter in Europe's top competition with 45 percent. Marco is a product of Virtus Bologna, but he went to crosstown archrivals Fortitudo when Virtus ran into tough financial times.
Belinelli's start at Fortitudo was also difficult as Virtus fans considered him a traitor and Fortitudo fans considered him little more than a former Virtus player. But after three seasons with now-Climamio, Marco has become one of the most beloved players on the team. Belinelli is a lethal weapon in the open court. And when he's on fire, he can drain a number of threes in a row.
He also loves his fade-away jumper - much in the style of Kobe Bryant.
