Career: Toyota (Japan-JBL Superleague, 2005-06).

Ryota Sakurai was also a rookie this season in the JBL Superleague. He has not seen a lot of playing time this season with the 2006 champion, the Toyota Alvark. But he is a very promising player at shooting guard and had the opportunity to show his talent with the National Team last year at the East Asian Games and at the 2005 FIBA Asia Championship in Doha, Qatar.

He is a scorer, but he must work on his shot. Sakuri is a complete player with good rebounding and passing skills.
