Career: Oregon University (USA-NCAA, 2004-06).
When you just finished your sophomore year and you enter an African Championship, it's like landing on another planet. Chamberlain is, like Abe Badmus, a Nigerian born and raised in the United States (in Houston). In Algiers last summer, Oguchi showed his great shooting efficiency with an average of 8.5 points in 12 minutes per game. His African experience helped him reach another step with Oregon last season, as he started 10 games and improved his scoring from 5.0 to 9.6 points per game, with a high of 26 points against Washington State during the Pac 10 tournament.
Oguchi is a pretty good 3-point shooter (36% in 2005-06 with Oregon), something Nigeria has always missed, and he will be a great addition for the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Japan.
